The Girl Forged by Fate
Nineteen years ago, King Magnus made a decision that would change the fate of his family forever. The war with the southern raiders never stopped, and now the king’s daughter Ivy wants to contribute. She’s dreamed of becoming a knight since she was a little girl, though her father’s kingdom has rules keeping that dream from coming true.
Now with her father’s past beginning to affect the lives and safety of his people, Ivy is sent away to an island that’s neutral in the ongoing war. There, Ivy will begin training with Ronin, who not only taught Magnus but the man the king banished so long ago. Ivy’s father will do anything to protect his family… and someone sees that devotion as a weakness, a wound that will break the king.
Upon arrival, Ivy meets a boy named Finn, whose past will link their fates together. But trouble is lurking in the shadows, and Ivy soon finds herself fighting for her life, trying to get back home but nowhere is safe now. Her brother is being hunted down, her mother targeted, and Magnus is desperately trying to keep his people safe, but fate intervenes. Someone has betrayed the king, and they will destroy him by any means possible.
The Girl Destined to Rise
Immediately following the events in book one, Ivy, Finn and Ronin have set sail for home, but the walls of Godstone won't keep out the danger that follows. With Ivy still broken over her recent loss, she hopes to find safety and comfort back home, and introduce Finn to her family.
Soon after arriving, Ivy and her family head to Grey Raven after going months without hearing from Lady Oharra and fearing the worst, but no one is prepared for what they find. The raiders are ramping up their attacks, pushing closer to Godstone with the intent to dethrone King Magnus and conquer the North.
Magnus tries to rally his allies, but someone has been shooting down his messenger hawks. With no other choice, Magnus, Finn and the king's men ride for the Twisted Tower, while Ivy accompanies a group to Tordenfall to bring back as many warriors as they can to defend Godstone. If Godstone should fall, so too will the North.
With Finn and Ivy separated, Finn gets to know King Magnus better and the two become close.
Back home, with the North rallied and ready to fight, a new threat comes from within the walls of Godstone. Someone the Blackbourne's thought they could trust has betrayed them, sent by Helvarr to destroy them from the inside. After a fight that nearly costs Ivy everything, a mysterious woman named Kyatta informs Ivy of her fate. Kyatta has powers that Ivy doesn't understand, but she will soon unlock her own powers that have remained dormant up until now.
The battle for Godstone begins, and when Helvarr marches his army to their walls, nothing and no one will stop him- no army, no girl with her promise, not even a king.

The Girl With the Iron Heart
It's been months since the fall of Godstone, and Ivy is still dealing with the nightmares that followed after her father's death. The entire North has fled with the Blackebournes after Helvarr conquered their home, but after some planning and grieving, they're finally ready to take it back.
Rayner was thrown into a role he didn't expect to fill for years to come, yet he must live up to what's expected of him, but it's the most challenging thing he's ever done. While rallying allies and building his army, Rayner is constantly burdened with thoughts of his wife. Correlyn was taken as they fled the battlefield, and every second away from her is eating away at the young king.
Ivy and Finn revisit the place they first met, where they fell in love, but their defeat mocks the happiness that they once associated with the island, yet Finn is determined to change that. After an attempt on Ivy's life, Rayner and the group learn that Helvarr has scouts all across the land, and it's time they move.
With allies sailing north with them, the Blackbournes meet a group of people who were thought to be a myth, and their power combined with Kyatta's might be enough to win back their home.

King Rayner has gathered a powerful army, and now the time has come to return home. With the help of the Cosmian's and Kyatta's blood magic, Rayner hopes it will be enough to stop Helvarr. But with Correlyn's freedom riding on his success, it's a great burden to bear.
Ivy believes she's ready for this war to end, but that means losing more people along the way, and no amount of training or guidance will prepare her for what is fated to be. Kyatta understands that her powers are dangerous to those around her, and with a growing affection toward Grimm, she fears for his safety. With the arrival of the blood moon, nothing will be able to stop her.
Helvarr is preparing for the fight of his life. Already, he can feel the power he once had slipping. He's too hard to build a relationship with Correly, and that's one thing he's not willing to lose, no matter the cost.
